Returns & refunds

Gi sizing is genuinely hard to get right from a chart. If what arrives isn’t the right fit, we’ll exchange it or refund you.

14 days to change your mind

Under EU and Cypriot consumer law you have 14 days from receiving your order to tell us you want to withdraw from it, for any reason, and a further 14 days to send the goods back. You do not have to give a reason.

Email info@kanokimonos.store with your order number and what you’d like to do, or bring it to the academy in Paphos.

Condition

Items need to come back unworn, unwashed and with their tags and packaging. Trying a gi on at home is fine — that is what the 14 days are for. Rolling in it is not: a gi that has been trained in cannot go back on the rail.

For hygiene reasons we cannot accept returns of mouthguards, or of underwear-type items, once the sealed packaging has been opened. This does not affect your rights if the item is faulty.

Exchanges

Swapping for a different size is usually the fastest fix and we don’t charge for it. If you are in or near Paphos, bring it to the academy and walk out with the right size the same day.

Refunds

We refund to your original payment method within 14 days of receiving the goods back, or of proof that you have sent them. That includes the standard delivery charge you paid, if any.

Where you paid in cash at the shop, we’ll refund you in cash at the shop, or agree a bank transfer if that is easier.

Return postage

If you are returning something because you changed your mind, the cost of sending it back is yours. If the item arrived damaged, has a manufacturing defect, or is not the item you ordered, we cover it — don’t pay postage on a fault, just ask us first.

Damaged or defective items

Email info@kanokimonos.store with your order number and a photograph. This applies to goods that arrive damaged or that have a manufacturing defect — stitching that fails in normal training is a defect, not wear and tear. Defects are handled separately from the 14-day window, and your statutory rights are not limited by this policy.

Where to send returns

By post: email us first and we’ll confirm the return address, so your parcel reaches the right place.
